Ragged Mountain Overview

Ragged Mountain is a charming mid-sized ski resort, renowned for its excellent snow-making capabilities and a variety of terrain suitable for beginners, experts, and everyone in between. Despite its relatively low elevation compared to other resorts in New Hampshire or Vermont, it compensates admirably with its snow making, ensuring an enjoyable skiing experience.

The resort features two main lifts, a bunny hill, easy green, and two carpets with about 35/57 runs available. It also offers a variety of trails, from wide open ones for beginners to tougher, narrower glades for the more experienced. The short to manageable lift lines, even during peak times, are another draw for visitors.

Visitors can look forward to an authentic old-school mountain vibe at Ragged Mountain. There are ample spaces for relaxation and dining options on-site offering delicious meals. The resort, however, does not offer night skiing. Ample parking space is another advantage, catering comfortably even to higher attendance.

Moreover, the resort is known for its well-groomed trails and excellent snow conditions, contributing to a fantastic skiing experience. However, it's worth noting that the resort leans more towards blues and black skiers, but beginners can still enjoy a few green runs and the bunny hill.

The mountain is also a beautiful wedding venue, offering a rustic charm with professional and warm service. The resort also offers kids lessons, making it a family-friendly destination.

The resort does have a few minor setbacks. For one, the surrounding area doesn't offer much in terms of amenities. Also, the ski runs are currently not mapped on the Slopes app.

Overall, Ragged Mountain provides a tailored skiing experience, with its appealing New England feel, affordable tickets, and fantastic conditions, making it a must-visit for both novice and seasoned skiers.
